It’s really too bad that the visuals don’t quite live up to the soundtrack in this game, and the lack of character and story building is also a problem when you compare it to the iconic, gothic masterpiece, Immortal Romance. Aurum Signature Studios had a chance to ‘go to town’ with it, but has instead conjured up a bland and generic cartoonish presentation where the characters don’t even have names.

A lot is forgiven when The Wild Showdown feature triggers though, and it’s clearly audiovisually inspired by the Morricone-infused Sad Hill Cemetery final showdown in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (1966). The 4 bonus round options are the same as in Immortal Romance, but still entertaining and potentially lucrative to the tune of 12,150x your stake. Overall, Wild Wild Romance is a good option to have, but it could have been so much more than it turned out to be.
